Get started with Quotera

Step 1

Sign in with your email

There is no password. Quotera emails you a 6-digit code each time you sign in. The same screen works for new and returning users.

1. 1Open quotera.in and tap “Sign in”
2. 2Type your email and tap “Email me a code”
3. 3Open the email and type the 6-digit code

Tip: No email? Check Spam or Promotions, or tap “Send a new code” after a minute.

Step 2

Tell us about you

Your name, business name and mobile number go on every quotation, so clients know who it's from and can reach you.

3. 3Tap “Continue”

Step 3

Pick your kind of work and your items

Choose what you do. Quotera adds the common items for your trade, all ticked, plus standard payment terms. Untick what you don't do and add your own.

2. 2Untick items you don't offer
3. 3Type your own item and tap “Add”
4. 4Tap “Continue”

Tip: Items come without rates. You type your own rate on a quote, or set them once in Products & services.

Step 4

Add your business details and how you get paid

Say whether you have GST (your GSTIN fills in your state), add your address and email, then a UPI ID or bank account. Payments go straight to you; Quotera never touches the money.

1. 1Choose “Yes, registered” or “Not registered”
2. 2Fill in your address; the PIN code fills in the city
3. 3Add your UPI ID, a bank account, or both; “Scan or upload your UPI QR” fills the UPI ID from a photo of your QR
4. 4Add a logo and signature now, or later from Settings

Step 5

Make your first quotation

Tap “Create my first quotation”. You land on a new quotation with a short welcome card showing the three things to do.

Step 6

Find your way around

On a phone, the bar at the bottom has everything you use daily. On a computer the same sections are in the menu on the left.

1. 1“Home”: money to collect and what needs you today
2. 2“Quotes” and “Invoices”: your documents and where each one stands
3. 3“+”: start a quotation, invoice, client or expense
4. 4“Clients”: everyone you work for
5. 5The menu at the top right: Products, Income & expenses, Notes, Settings and Help
