Quotations
Make a quotation
Pick the client, add your items and rates, set a discount or payment schedule if you need one, and save. The total and GST work themselves out.

Step 1
Choose the client
Tap “+” and then “New quotation”. Pick a saved client, or tap “New client” and type their name and mobile; they're saved for next time.
- 1Tap “+”, then “New quotation”
- 2Search and tap the client, or tap “New client”
Tip: Starting from a client's page picks them for you.

Step 2
Check the dates and GST
A quote is valid for 15 days unless you choose otherwise. GST is set from the client's state: CGST + SGST in your state, IGST outside it.
- 1Under “Dates and tax” tap “Change”, then pick 7, 15 or 30 days, or a date
- 2Leave the tax as picked: without a GSTIN in Settings it's always “No GST”

Step 3
Add items and your rates
Tap an item under “Quick add from your list”, or “Add item” to type a new one. Fill in the quantity and your rate; the line total updates as you type.
- 1Tap an item from your list, or “Add item”
- 2Type the quantity and your rate
- 3Change the unit if needed (sq.ft, job, day…)
- 4“More details” has the description, HSN/SAC, GST rate and the optional add-on switch
Tip: Mark an item as an optional add-on and the client can choose it when accepting. It isn't in the total until they do.

Step 4
Add a discount and payment schedule
Both are optional. A discount comes off before GST. A payment schedule tells the client what to pay when; after they accept, they're asked for the first payment.
- 1Tap “Add discount”, choose % or ₹ and type the value
- 2Under “Payment schedule” tap “Full advance”, “50 / 50”, “30 / 40 / 30” or “My own”
- 3“Terms and notes” come from your Settings; change them for this quote if needed

Step 5
Check and save
The bar at the bottom always shows the total. Tap the eye to see the quotation exactly as the PDF will look, then save.
- 1Tap the eye button to preview
- 2Tap “Save quote”
Tip: If you close the page before saving, Quotera offers to restore what you typed next time.

Common questions
Something I do for free?
Add it as an item with rate 0. It shows on the quotation and invoice at 0.00, so the client sees it's included, and it doesn't change the total or GST.
Does Quotera fill in my rates?
Never on its own. Rates come only from you: typed on the quote or saved once in Products & services.
When is it IGST?
When the client is in a different state from your business. Quotera picks it from the client's state.
Can I edit a quotation after saving?
Yes, until the client accepts it. If they've already seen it, the new version becomes Rev 2.
